The challenge

Capitec wanted to introduce a feature that would make saving easier and more intuitive for their customers. The Live Easy Savings feature needed to feel effortless — customers should be able to save without thinking about it — while fitting seamlessly into the existing Capitec app experience and meeting the security standards South African banking customers expect.

Our approach

We built the feature as a React Native module that integrated directly with Capitec's existing mobile architecture. The UI was designed around behavioural psychology — making saving visible, satisfying, and automatic. We worked closely with Capitec's product and compliance teams through every sprint, ensuring the feature met both user experience standards and regulatory requirements before release.

The result
